The Airport is connected to the motorways A4 and A13 (access road „Flughafen Dresden“). For transfer to Zittau you have to take motorway A4 in direction Bautzen, Görlitz. At the exit „Bautzen Ost“ you must leave the motorway and go in direction of Zittau via Löbau. Travel time to Zittau is about 1,5 hours.
Transfer from Dresden to Zittau by train:
Shuttle trains connect
the Airport with railway station „Dresden-Neustadt“. The platform for shuttle
trains is located in the lower level of the new airport terminal. Travel time to
railway station „Dresden-Neustadt“ is approximately 13 min. The trains depart
every 20 to 30 min. A ticket in one direction costs 1.50 Euro.
Trains to
Zittau depart from railway station „Dresden-Neustadt“ approximately every 2
hours daily. Travel time to Zittau is about 2 hours and a ticket in one
direction costs 14.60 Euro.

Airport Leipzig/Halle is situated about 18 km to the north-west of Leipzig in the near of the motorway interchange „Schkeuditz“ (motorways A14/A9). Take motorway A14 and go in direction „Dresden“ and than continue the travel to Zittau (see Transfer Dresden - Zittau by car).
Transfer from Leipzig to Zittau by train:
A bus shuttle service
(Airport-City-Line) connect the airport with the railway station
„Leipzig-Hauptbahnhof“. Travel time to „Leipzig-Hauptbahnhof“ is about 30 min.
The shuttles depart every 30 min. A one way ticket costs 6.50 Euro.
At
railway station „Leipzig-Hauptbahnhof“ you must take the train to Dresden and
than continue the travel to Zittau. The trains from Leipzig-Hauptbahnhof to
Dresden depart every 45 min. and the travel time is about one hour 15 min. A one
way ticket costs 16.80 Euro.

From the airports Tegel and Schoenefeld take the motorway A 10 („Berliner Ring“) and than go in direction of Dresden to the motorway interchange „Schoenefelder Kreuz“. Here you turn into motorway A13 in direction of Dresden till motorway interchange „Dreieck Dresden“ where you have to take motorway A4 in direction of Bautzen and than continue the travel to Zittau (see transfer from Dresden to Zittau by car).
Transfer from Berlin to Zittau by train:
From the airports
„Berlin-Tegel“ and „Berlin-Schoenefeld“ you can use bus shuttles and the city
railway (S-Bahn) to various railway stations in Berlin:
The departure station for trains to Dresden is Berlin-Ostbahnhof. Trains with
direct connection to Dresden depart every two hours via Berlin-Schoenefeld (10
min. from the airport). The travel time from „Berlin-Ostbahnhof“ to
„Dresden-Neustadt“ is about two hours. A one way ticket Berlin-Dresden costs
30.60 Euro. From Dresden you must continue the travel to Zittau (travel from
Dresden to Zittau by train).

Transfer to Zittau by car:
The Prague Airport Ruzyne is located in
the north-west of Prague, about 20 km from centre. For the travel to Zittau take
the road E65 till Mlada Boleslav. Than change to E442 till Liberec and there go
in direction of Hradek nad Nisou (check point to Poland). In Poland go ahead
(approx. 1km) to the check point to Zittau (Germany).
Transfer from Prague to Zittau by train:
The Prague Airport Ruzyne
is located at the north-west corner of Prague, about 20 km from centre. To get
there, you can use cabs, city buses No. 119 to Metro station Dejvicka or No. 108
to Metro station Hradcanska or No 179 to Metro station Nove Butovice, or buses
to Namesti Republiky or the street V celnici (both Praha 1).
The departure station for all trains with direct connection to Dresden is
Prague Holesovice (see also Czech Travel Guide or Czech Railways . Trains depart every two hours. The travel
time from Prague to Dresden-Neustadt is about three hours. From Dresden you must
continue the travel to Zittau (travel from Dresden to Zittau by train).
